BIAMI has local chapters and support groups throughout the state to provide support and encouragement to families and individuals with brain injury.  Most groups meet monthly and provide information and assistance, as well as some recreational activities.

BIAA is a nonprofit organization that brings together persons with TBI, their families and friends, concerned professionals, and their communities. There are state affiliates throughout the country. This agency is a good overall referral source for information, services, and products (such as audiotapes, books, and videos).

CDC’s research and programs work to prevent TBIs and help people recognize, respond, and recover if a TBI occurs.



 Michigan Spinal Cord Injury Association

The Michigan Spinal Cord Injury Association (MSCIA) provides support and encouragement for individuals who lives have changed and are faced with a spinal cord injury.  The MSCIA is an advocator for the injured person and their family members.   The MSCIA provides education and researches current information. The MSCIA is a statewide resource center dedicated to providing information, community resources, and support groups.

The Amputee Coalition is dedicated to ensuring that no one faces limb loss alone. The volunteers work to provide people with limb loss and limb difference, their families and caregivers the resources they need to recover, readjust and live life fully with limb loss/difference.
